Join our Summer Artist-in-Residence, Alexis Uchefuna, for a series of workshops!
August 14, 2024 @ 1PM - Learn How to Take Photos Like a Pro!
Whether it’s digital or film, exercise the fundamentals of taking photos with the basics of shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and composition. We will be walking down Monterey Street for about an hour to help master your skills as you begin your photographer journey. Feel free to bring your own camera, tripod, and lenses! Rolls of medium format film will be provided.
August 28, 2024 @ 1PM - Develop 35mm and Medium Format Film!
Learn to develop your own B&W and Color Negative film, as well as scanning with a flatbed scanner! We will hold a small photo walk, to learn how to properly expose film or bring your already exposed rolls of film and join for the ride! Patterson tanks and developing materials will be available during the workshop! Film will also be provided!
September 12, 2024 @ 1PM - Studio Lighting Workshop!
Learn how to take images using artificial lighting techniques and use them to your advantage to take dynamic images! LED and Strobe Lights will be available as well as other equipment. Feel free to bring your own props!
September 25, 2024 @ 8PM - Light Painting with Long Exposure!
Create images using lights and long exposure from your camera! Bring tripods and LED lights! Fun activity for both adults and kids alike.
September 28, 2024 @ 1PM - Group Critique!
Come together and bring prints of your photos or projects for constructive criticism. All levels are welcome!
